Before Buckhead Tea Company sent me a sample pack they must have stalked my Instagram to see what I liked. I had posted a few times about my need for a new night time blend. I was so excited to open my sample pack and find their Organic Tranquility! This was one I had been looking at on their website so I was looking forward to trying it.

Packaging
My Organic Tranquility Herbal Tea Sample from Buckhead Tea Company arrived with 3 other loose leaf tea samples and two tea bag box sets. The loose leaf samples arrived in black, lightproof, resealable bags. On the front is the company label and the back has the name of the tea and brewing instructions. I absolutely love what the bag says at the bottom:
Steeping tea to bring out it’s best flavor is a science, but drinking tea is an art. Although we recommend steeping times and temperatures as a guideline, what matters most is that you make your cup the way you like best!
Truer words have never been spoken! I can tell you all day how I steep MY teas but you might like the same tea steeped a little stronger or a little lighter. Good for them for recognizing that and putting it out there!
When I opened the bag the chamomile was the most prominent aroma. I was able to detect the lemongrass and the rose but you could absolutely tell there was plenty of chamomile. Perfect!! This was going to be a night night tea, I wanted the chamomile. The tea is beautiful. Full chamomile flowers and beautiful rose petals. You can also see the lemongrass.
How to Brew
The instructions on the bag say to steep at 212ºF for 5-7 minutes. This is exactly how I usually brew my herbal teas so I went with it. You can absolutely leave this tea longer than 5 minutes to get a stronger flavor. The great thing about Herbal Teas is that they are really hard to mess up. They will not burn so they can sit as long as you want them to and they will not get bitter.
The Experience
Buckhead Tea Company’s Organic Tranquility steeped to a very pretty orange color. As it steeped the chamomile continued to be the most prominent aroma but the lemongrass came out quite a bit more.
Chamomile has a tendency to be a bit bitter so the lemongrass and rose petals were definitely able to tone that down. I did end up putting in a tiny bit of Teavana’s Rock Sugar to bring out a little bit more sweetness. Once I did that, the floral from the rose petals and the lemongrass came out a lot more.
This tea absolutely did its job! It helped me relax and made going to sleep so much easier. I also managed to sleep through the night which is a miracle in itself!
Since this is an Herbal Tea it can only be steeped once for the best flavor.
Overall, I was incredibly impressed with Buckhead Tea Company’s Organic Tranquility. It has a fabulous flavor and the smell just enhanced the experience. If you are looking for a really nice evening blend this one will absolutely do the job. I enjoyed it with a little bit of rock sugar but it would also be really nice with a little bit of honey. I will be ordering more of this, it is definitely one I’ll keep in stock!
